The Chef Truck — Park MGM Grand
36.1046° N, 115.17574° WFirst time I’ve ventured to the strip in a few years. But, we’re fans of the film and the food is supposed to be really good.

God & Country at AMC Star Theatre
42.8077° N, 86.0847° WNothing like a documentary on Christian Nationalism to spice up a Monday night. God & Country was ok. There wasn’t a real sense of narrative flow, and I was already familiar with a lot of the material being presented. However, I’m glad I went for two main reasons:
- I want to encourage movie theaters to keep showing this type of content (documentaries in general, documentaries I agree with in particular).
- It was encouraging to see most (all?) of the interviewees were Christians — some even Evangelicals — speaking against Christian Nationalism.
I might be interested in reading the book it’s based on.

Fort Pitt Museum
40.44025° N, 80.00954° WAdmission was free after visiting the Heinz History Center yesterday. Parking is weirdly far from the museum itself such that getting to the entrance seemed like an accomplishment in itself. We skipped breakfast so my stomach was a distraction after not very long, and we ended up bailing pretty quick, made easier to justify because it was free.

Monongahela Incline Upper Station
40.43129° N, 80.00596° WA fun, cheap, touristy thing to do with some good views of the city (both while moving, and from the overlook at the top). We might need to do it again at night. I have learned however, you will get strange looks if you call it a funicular.

Alihan's Coffee & Breakfast
40.4433° N, 80.00237° WI had never before considered olives to be a breakfast food, now I see the error of my ways. The bread was delicious, and the butter honey it was served with made me miss my bees.

Starting Point for the U.S. Public Land Survey
40.64254° N, 80.51911° WI enjoy finding survey benchmarks, which made this a high priority stop. We arrived just before sunset, and snapped a few photos before heading on our way. A little farther up the road we drove past the Beaver Valley Nuclear Generation Station’s cooling towers (which were way closer to the road than I thought they would be) just as they were dumping a bunch of water out, which was cool to see.
